Longines Timing

Longines’ long-lasting involvement in sports’ timekeeping started in 1878 with the first chronograph manufactured by Longines. Building on its in-house expertise, Longines gradually built a special relationship with the world of sport. It can count now many years of experience as a timekeeper for world championships in sport or as a partner of international sports federations.

Alpine Skiing

It was in 1933 in Chamonix that Longines’ connection to Alpine skiing was born. Since 2006, the brand is the Official Timekeeper for all the FIS Alpine World Cup competitions.

Equestrian

The Swiss watchmaking brand was first partnering a show jumping competition in 1912 and ever since has pursued its commitment in the equestrian disciplines to this day.

Gymnastics

In 1985 Longines became Official Timekeeper for all artistic and rhythmic gymnastics of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) following its long-time commitment to gymnastics initiated in 1912.
